TERA is a Fantasy Action MMORPG with stunning visuals and a slew of innovative features that allow players to fully control their characters in the game's free targeting combat system. Player actions in TERA can change the balance of power in a world threatened by dark powers as seven allied races work together to protect their world.

  • CHOOSE FROM 7 RACES AND 8 CLASSES: Change your character's history by selecting one of seven races and change the way you play by choosing a class that best suits your individual battle temperament. Whether you were born to be in the thick of battle dealing damage and drawing the enemy's attention, or standing in the back lines supporting your allies there's a class for you in TERA.
  • BREATHTAKING VISUALS POWERED BY UNREAL ENGINE 3: TERA will take you on a journey through the most vivid and fantastical world yet seen in a videogame: over lofty mountain peaks, through toxic swamps bristling with foul monsters, across seemingly never-ending woodland plains and underground, to the heart of the evil threatening this world.
  • TRUE ACTION COMBAT: Keep a steady hand and know your arsenal, combat in TERA requires a quick finger and nuance on the battlefield. TERA offers dynamic gameplay, giving you total control of your character where you'll have to actively aim, dodge and block to emerge from battle victorious.
  • GROUNDBREAKING POLITICAL SYSTEM: Choosing a region, players can make a move to take over the mantle of a Vanarch, the ruler of a province. Sitting on the throne, players will be able to drop or raise taxes, spawn and reposition special NPCs to their advantage, as well as having access to a range of special items that signal the arrival of power.
  • BAMs: BIG ASS MONSTERS: Traversing the world of TERA, players will encounter many goliath creatures that are as dangerous as they are awe inspiring. These BAMs reside in the deepest dungeons and the open plains of TERA's varied environments, so be sure to always be on your guard.
  • EXCITING PvP BATTLES IN THE BATTLEGROUND: While TERA's rich story will have you fighting alongside a group of fellow allies to turn the tide of war, the Battlegrounds will truly reveal the hero in your squad. Pitching players against each other in a range of modes, the Battlegrounds will have players coming back for more time and time again. Fans of PvP will also be able to enjoy the epic guild battles and open PvP.

Blev kär i konceptet första gången jag hörde om det. Har spelet på ALLA closed beta helger hittills både på EU och NA. Föredrar att ni som inte provat spela Tera gör det under Open Beta dagarna.

An amazing MMORPG.
Playing the focus tests and now the closed betas I can only suggest to get this game at day one.
Revolutionary control system, you aim every single strike you deal to monsters (crosshair), you must dodge every single strike they aim at you, unlike all the MMORPG that we have tried till now were you click/lock on target and start spam skills.
More than ever in PvP, there is no best equipment nor best cheating, when your aiming skill sux it simply sux, and you lose, and when you win is because YOU have won. Let's hope it will stay a clean game at least about this.
Before start to playing it I was afraid to get bored/tired to aim every single mob you grind, after few minutes in game you realize that is not boring at all but instead a really involving and accomplishing control system. It is also playable -console style- with a joypad since it has native support, and your hands will eventually appreciate that.
Tera feels more like a first (third) person shooter more than an rpg, that's why is called action rpg.
Graphics are stunning, next gen, love the style of characters, mobs and environments, pure fantasy with poetic beauty, Unreal engine 3, enough said.
Billions of quests, you level up without even think of it.
I played for years everything on the market, from Lineage 2, through Guild Wars, Vindictus, AoC, Rift etc.etc. but I think Tera is the only one with all the potentiality to become the next WoW, I know... big task.
My only concern is that the lack of heavy grinding will kill the fun/addiction sooner or later (happened for the Korean release), as for Rift for example, a great game but with a gap in end game contents that is fatal.
But the dev team of Tera is pumping in lots of new for-western-audience-made- contents , so I am quite optimist for the future of this game.
So, at the moment, Tera it is a Triple A MMORPG, indeed.
