Alice, who blames her father for her mother's death and is struggling to cope with her new prosthetic arm, finds comfort in dog Beatrice (voice of Lucy Tillett) to whom she talks as her mother. When Alice is out in the woods one day she comes across a large black cube which seems to be delivering messages from her future self.
