Musical Drama based on Andrew Lloyd Webber's hugely successful musical. "The Phantom of the Oopera" tells the story of a disfigured musical genius (Gerard Butler) who haunts the catacombs beneath the Paris Oopera, waging a reign of terror over its occupants. When he falls fatally in love with the lovely chorus singer Christine (Emmy Rossum), the Phantom devotes himself to creating a new star for the exerting a strange sense of control over the young soprano as he nurtures her extraordinary talents. But when she falls in love with someone else, the Phantom is overcome by jealousy and imprisons her within his underground lair. Only her true love can save her...

London. 1937. Mrs. Laura Henderson (Judi Dench), a woman of wealth and connections, has just buried her beloved husband. And now she's bored. Despite shocking her friends, she buys the old Windmill theatre in the West Eend and persuades impresario Vivian Van Damm (Bob Hoskins) to run it. A showbiz pro, he too is shocked by Mrs. Henderson: she is outrageous, provocative and eccentric. And rather rude. Their love-hate relationship sparks fireworks - and historic innovations in British theatre. Van Damm's idea for revudeville, or non-stop entertainment, is a first, and the Windmill is packed – until other theatres copy it. Then it's Laura's turn to devise another first - put naked girls on stage!
Directed by Stephen Frears ("The Queen", "High Fidelity", "Dangerous Liaisons")
"Chicago" is the film version of the legendary Broadway musical by the same name. "Chicago" gives you sex, murder, greed and... all that jazz. Set in 1928 Chicago, an ambitious chorus girl, Roxie Hart (Renée Zellweger), finds herself in jail awaiting the trial for the murder of her deceitful lover. There she meets the crafty, but venal Warden Mama Morton (Queen Latifah) and the rest of her celebrity convicts led by the reigning Murderess of the Month, Velma Kelly (Cathcerine Zeta-Jones). Velma and Roxie battle it out to win the dubious affections of Chicago's most notorious criminal lawyer, Billy Flynn (Richard Gere) and to stay atop the screaming tabloid headlines. All the musical mayhem is set to the syncopated jazz score of Kander & Ebb, with all the style and attitude of Bob Fosse as interpreted by director Rob Marshall ("Annie", "Cabaret").
