Ching Siu Tung directs this epic action drama set during the Ming dynasty. China and Japan select their greatest swordsman to face each other in a battle for national pride and honour. However, when political affairs threaten the legitimacy of the bout, both fighters do all they can to ensure that no-one is at a disadvantage as they face each other in a lethal contest for personal pride as much as national.
