Nicolas Cage stars in this fantasy adventure set in the Middle Ages. As the Black Plague ravages 14th-century Europe, a brave knight (Cage) is assigned to transport a suspected witch (Claire Foy) to the trial in which she stands accused of using sorcery to invoke the pandemic. Believing that the allegations against her are false, Behman and a group of wary followers fight through a mystical and treacherous landscape to take her to a remote monastery where her innocence can be proved, and the curse of the plague can be lifted.
