The dead body of a pregnant woman is discovered and her husband, Delroy (Clint Dyer), finds himself the prime suspect. He is brought to the police station and questioned by D.S Karn (Ralph Brown) and D.C. Wilby (Rafe Spall). As both officers are hoping for a Conservative victory in the election, they are intent on getting a quick confession out of their suspect. Delroy, who is black, is exposed to racist insults and violence which results in disastrous consequences.
