The Knight of the Night returns in the second installment of the popular action game series for home appliances: Batman Arkham City.

Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City expands Batman: Arkham Asylums intense gaming environment as players find themselves in Arkham City, Gotham Citys new high-security prison for villains, gangsters and crazy criminal geniuses, located in the heart of Gotham, fortified apart from the rest of the city. An entirely new story is written in the long-awaited sequel to Arkham Asylum, which brings together a group of familiar characters and murderous villains from Batmans pages. Game features have also been revamped to allow players to experience the Knight of the Night at its best in the world.

You are the Knight of the Night. Batman: In Arkham City, you get to play the character of the Batman holistically, from fierce street fights to nerve-wracking sneaking, diverse criminal investigation, epic battles against superstars, and the psychological struggle of the tortured protagonist with himself.

Play Catwoman. Catwoman is a fully playable character in the game with her own storyline that seamlessly blends into the story of Batman. The catwomans abilities, movements and equipment are designed to make the gaming experience completely separate from the Batman.

Improved FreeFlow Fighting Engine - Batman gets to beware of attacks from all directions. Arkham gangs are equipped with heavy armaments and the artificial intelligence of the villains has been improved. The number of battle animations, movements, counterattacks and wrestling movements in Batman has also doubled.

New Equipment - The Batman has a slew of new equipment such as a Cryptographic Sequencer V2 and smoke cartridges. Even old equipment has been improved, so the Batmans ability expands without the equipment belt becoming too heavy.

New Story - Five-time Emmy winner Paul Dini is back to write a new story for the game that dives deep into Gothams gloomy heart.

New Arkham - After Arkham Mental Hospital and Blackgate Prison closed their doors, the new mayor of Gotham, Quincy Sharp, ordered all prisoners transferred to Arkham City, a five-time-old brick super prison the size of Arkham Island, with industrial sites and familiar Gotham landmarks and buildings.

Huge Character Map - Players will meet several characters from the Batman world, including Catwoman, Twin Face, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Hugo Strange, Victor Zsasz, Calendar Man, Joker, Riddle, and other characters to be revealed later.

Stars return to their roles - Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy renew their roles as Joker and Batman
