Scouting Cams are used for unnoticed observation and monitoring of wild animals such as deer, wild boar, foxes and similar. Both by day and by night. In addition, a game camera can also be used for monitoring property, company premises or for object protection. Braun Photo Technology extends its extensive range of wildlife cameras by the ultra-light Braun Scouting Cam Black200 WiFi Mini. As the name suggests, the Black200 WiFi Mini stands out mainly because of its small dimensions of only 110 x 90 x 56.5 (H x W x D) mm, its very low weight of only 172 grams as well as the integrated WiFi-module.
The Wi-Fi module enables a direct connection from the camera to the smartphone. To be able to connect with the camera, you have to get into the range of the Bluetooth or Stop the camera's Wi-Fi signal. The range is approx. 10 meters with Bluetooth and approx. 20 meters with WiFi. The Wi-Fi signal from the camera can be activated via Bluetooth. You can view, download and delete the recordings via the free APP. The annoying removal of the memory card is no longer necessary. The APP also enables a live preview with the possibility of manual image and video recording. Along with the convenient data transfer you can also manage the system settings of the game camera with the help of WiFi-connection and APP. In this way, the exact resolution of the photos and videos can be set like numerous other parameters via the connected Smartphone and the APP.
The assigned, high-quality 2 MP CMOS image sensor delivers very good color pictures during the day. The Scouting Cam Black200 WiFi Mini also provides videos with a length of up to ten minutes and a resolution of 1520p (20fps) or 1080p (30fps). As soon as daylight becomes weaker, the black infrared LEDs are activated and the scene is turned off. At night, all images are recorded in black-and-white due to technical limitations, whereby at night the maximum night vision is 15 meters. The trigger time is only 0.6 seconds.
Brown delivers the Scouting Cam Black200 WiFi in a robust housing and with a PIR motion detector with a collection radius of 90° as well as 22 black IR LEDs (850nm) for night photographs. The compact and waterproof camera casing meets the protection class IP65. The Braun Scouting Cam Black200 WiFi Mini features a 2” color TFT display for image control of the recordings stored on a micro SD card (up to 32GB, AVI and JPG format).
Useful time lapse recordings (video or photo) are also possible with the game camera. Operating temperatures range from -20 degrees to +65 degrees. In addition, the Brown Scouting Cam Black200 WiFi mini has an integrated microphone, a password protection as well as information on date, time, moon phase and temperature.
