Cumbiasound is a Nu-Cumbia and World Music project led by Swedish producer/multiinstrumentalist Daniel Fridell.

Rooted in the vibrant traditions of Colombian Cumbia and Peruvian Chicha, this project delivers original compositions with a distinctive organic sound and lyrics in Spanish, French and Lingala. Part of a dynamic community including Frente Cumbiero, Meridian Brothers, Kombilesami, Malphino, and Sonido Gallo Negro- Cumbiasound explores all the frontiers of cumbia while staying true to its deep and funky origins.
