Wayne Crawford co-writes and stars in this US action adventure directed by Andrew Lane. When Maureen Winston (Rebecca Ashley) is kidnapped, her grandfather (Leon Ames) recruits Jake Speed (Crawford), a fictional character from a series of pulp fiction novels, to help bring her back. To everyone's surprise Jake turns out to be real and quickly accepts the job. Setting out with his trusted sidekick Desmond Floyd (Dennis Christopher), Jake soon finds his old enemy Sid (John Hurt) is behind all the trouble.
