Fantastical romantic comedy starring Gracie Fields as Nellie Gwyn, a pub landlady who meets Prince Charles of Ruritania (John Loder) at a fancy dress ball while dressed as a glamorous showgirl. The prince falls in love with her and decides to renounce his royal life.
