In 1989 in the Mexican jungle, an undercover agent Ernesto Cruz fights his way to the DEA plane waiting to take him home. However, he never arrives home. His family is told he died of an overdose.

10 years later, his son Tommy Cruz, who also works at the DEA, finds new evidence and goes to Mexico to find the truth. He breaks his leg through a stupidity with a hand grenade and macho brother Ramiro is taken out of prison to take over from him.

Its going to be a crazy, tequila-topped trip to the Mexican drug mafia. Total Overdose is quite over the top and reminds us of Tony Hawk, with the smart point system, of GTA in humor and graphic style, of Max Payne with his cool moves and of Serious Sam given the fast action.
