Though Sam Smith (Craig Roberts) has a fairly menial job in a hotel, he is convinced that he will make something of his life and plans to open his own restaurant one day. He hopes to get a glimpse of the good life while running an errand to one of London's most exclusive jewellers and gets a lot more than he bargained for when he finds himself caught up in an armed robbery orchestrated by the psychopathic Cameron (Kevin McKidd). The heist quickly turns into a hostage situation, with Sam, the shop's owner, Charlie (Timothy Spall), and the beautiful shop assistant, Mary (Imogen Poots), at the mercy of Cameron and his cohorts.
