The film follows high school friends Kid and Play (Christopher Reid and Christopher Martin) as they prepare to throw a party at Kid's house, with their friend Bilal (Martin Lawrence) as the DJ. After Kid is involved in a fight with school bully Stab (Paul Anthony) on his way home, he's grounded by his Pop (Robin Harris). Refusing to miss the party, Kid sneaks out of his house, with his Pop in close pursuit, but runs into more trouble in the form of the local police and Stab and his brothers. Can he make it to Play's house before the party's over?
