Fifty-something widow Maggie (Marianne Faithfull) needs to raise more money for her sick grandson's ongoing care. Having already sold her house and been rejected for a number of jobs, she finally jumps in at the deep end - applying for a hostess job in London's red-light district. Met with initial scepticism by her new boss Miki (Miki Manojlovic), Maggie wins him round when, under her new name - Irina Palm - she introduces customers to a new technique, and soon has them begging for more.
