SSX: Deadly Descents redefines the SSX series and pits the rider against both high mountains and ruthless opponents. As a player, you are a member of a snowboard team that does everything to be the first to go down the planets most treacherous mountains.

The team travels all over the world to take on the worst Mother Earth has to offer. From the peaks of the Himalayas where the air is so thin that riders have to go through the oxygen-poor death zone at life-threatening speeds to avoid fainting, to Antarctica istundra where the sunlit riding line is the only chance of survival when the temperature drops below -50 degrees in the shade. But the mountains are not the only danger that threatens the players. In SSX: Deadly Descents, the primary goal is to stay alive. The secondary is in the classic SSX style ... to do it in style.

Survival equipment is important: If you want to survive a ride down a deadly mountainside, you need the right equipment, and you need to know when and how to use it.
Fight against the forces of the weather: Mountains and opponents are not your most dangerous enemies. You have to survive bitter cold, strong winds, and wild snowstorms, based on real-life locations with deadly weather conditions.
