The record features Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Brooks & Dunn, Wilco, Billy Ray Cyrus, Carl Perkins, Nanci Griffith and more. Wilco, which had formed earlier in 1994, made their recorded debut on the compilation with their cover of Ernest Tubbs The T.B. is Whipping Me, a duet with Syd Straw. This is the first time ever the release will be released on vinyl and has been remastered in 2024.
