Directed by George Seaton and starring James Garner, Eva Marie Saint and Rod Taylor, 36 Hours follows an American intelligence officer kidnapped shortly before D-Day and subjected to an elaborate Nazi deception designed to make him believe the war ended years earlier. As the fabricated hospital environment begins to unravel, he must determine what is real while trying to protect the Allied invasion plans. Based on Roald Dahls short story Beware of the Dog, the film combines World War II espionage with psychological manipulation and escape suspense.
