Robert Zemeckis A Christmas Carol (2009), starring Jim Carrey and featuring Colin Firth and Gary Oldman, is a dark, visually rich motion-capture adaptation of Dickens classic ghost story. Combining supernatural encounters with a heightened Gothic atmosphere, it follows Ebenezer Scrooge as he confronts his past, present, and future in a transformative Christmas journey. The film blends dramatic emotional beats with immersive fantasy, creating one of the most intense and stylized retellings of the tale.
