A Minecraft Movie (2025) is a live-action adventure comedy directed by Jared Hess and based on the globally popular video game developed by Mojang Studios. Starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, the film brings the block-built Overworld to the big screen in a story centered on survival, creativity, and teamwork. Blending fantasy elements with action and humor, the adaptation expands the games open-world concept into a character-driven narrative. The film represents the first major theatrical adaptation of the Minecraft universe.
