Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Alien: Resurrection stars Sigourney Weaver as a cloned version of Ellen Ripley, with Winona Ryder, Ron Perlman and Dominique Pinon in key roles. Set aboard a military research vessel, the film follows illegal experiments with xenomorph DNA and the dangerous results of bringing the Alien species back. The film continues the Alien franchise with sci-fi horror, genetic experimentation, creature effects and a darker, more grotesque action-horror tone.
