1894 skakas Frankrike av en av historiens största rättsskandaler då den judiske kaptenen Alfred Dreyfus döms mot sitt nekande för spioneri och landsförräderi. Efter att Dreyfus deporterats till den ökända Djävulsön för att avtjäna sitt livstidsstraff börjar officeren Georges Picquart nysta i fallet och kommer en fruktansvärd komplott på spåren.


Directed by Roman Polanski, An Officer and a Spy stars Jean Dujardin in a historical thriller based on Robert Harriss novel about the Dreyfus Affair. Set in late 19th-century France, the film follows intelligence officer Georges Picquart as he uncovers evidence suggesting that Alfred Dreyfus was wrongly convicted of treason. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival, the film combines political intrigue, espionage and historical drama rooted in one of Frances most famous miscarriages of justice.
