Sylvain Chomet writes and directs this French animation. In the 1960s, young orphan Champion lives with his grandmother, Madame Souza, and dreams of winning the Tour de France. But before he is given the chance to compete he is kidnapped by the French Mafia and taken to the city of Belleville where his cycling skills are utilised by the gangsters.
