Based on the manga by Tite Kubo, Bleach is a Japanese anime series following teenager Ichigo Kurosaki after he gains the powers of a Soul Reaper and becomes involved in battles against supernatural threats and hostile spiritual forces. The series combines large-scale action, sword combat, supernatural mythology and long-running character arcs within one of the defining shonen anime franchises of the 2000s.
