Directed by Stanislav Tiunov, Bucha stars Cezary Łukaszewicz as Konstantin Gudauskas, a Kazakh citizen living in Ukraine when Russian forces occupy the Kyiv region in 2022. Able to pass through military checkpoints because of his Kazakh passport, Konstantin repeatedly enters occupied territory to evacuate civilians from Bucha and neighbouring communities. Based on his true story and survivor accounts, the Ukrainian war drama follows rescue missions undertaken amid military occupation, violence against civilians and the growing evidence of atrocities.
