Ace Records are delighted to release Candi Staton’s new album Back To My Roots. The soul legend has recorded a sensational set of songs that draw heavily upon her gospel roots. It is best to let this great lady of soul speak for herself. Staton’s voice has always been a powerful and emotive instrument and on this album it has never sounded finer. No wonder Back To My Roots is her first Grammy nomination in 40 years for Best Gospel Album. It’s time to go back to church. God’s Candi store is open.
