A Fistful of Dollars (1964)
Directed by Sergio Leone, A Fistful of Dollars introduces the Man with No Name as a wandering gunslinger who manipulates two rival factions in a small border town. The film blends Japanese samurai influences with Italian Western style, establishing the minimalistic dialogue, moral ambiguity, and rhythmic violence that defined the Spaghetti Western. Ennio Morricones score and Leones visual language reshaped the genre for international cinema.

For a Few Dollars More (1965)
For a Few Dollars More reunites Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood as two bounty hunters whose uneasy alliance forms around a shared goal and a formidable outlaw. The film expands the Dollars trilogys thematic core through character contrast, psychological motivation, and rising tension. Its mix of operatic staging, extended duels, and Morricones iconic compositions deepened the trilogys stylistic identity.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
Considered Leones masterpiece, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly follows three men in pursuit of buried gold against the backdrop of the American Civil War. The film blends black comedy, shifting alliances, and vast frontier landscapes with Leones operatic framing and Morricones legendary score. Its structure, scale, and mythmaking ambition helped define the Spaghetti Western as a major global cinematic movement.
