Med sitt andra album försöker Cornucopia utöka landskapet för vad metal kan erbjuda. Medan de vill fortsätta hålla metal i kärnan av deras musik så vill de sätta sin egen prägel på genren, den ambitionen är uppnådd med albumet Cosmic Consciousness. Med låtar som rör sig upp mot sju minuter så rör de sig in i akustiska delar inspirerat från progressiv rock och nutida artister som Opeth. Den här gången har de även lagt till synth delar och en kör på sista låten för att utöka ljudbilden till att passa skivans tema av existentialism, det ger albumet en övergripande känsla av hopp som genomsyrar varje spår och dess lyrik. Cornucopia erbjuder en ny ljudbild i metalvärlden och hoppas att resonera emotionellt med lyssnare på ett sätt de inte har försökt innan.

With their sophomore release, Cornucopia tries to widen the landscape of what metal can offer. While trying to remain faithful to the core of the genre they wish to put their own stamp in the tradition, that ambition is realised with “Cosmic Consciousness". With songs that span up to 7 minutes they go into long acoustic parts that harken back to a progressive sound. The addition of synth on two songs as well as a choir on the last adds to the seeming thesis of the record, there’s a cohesive feeling of existential dread but with a tinge of hope that carries through the tracks and their respective lyrics. Cornucopia is here to add a new soundscape to the metal world and hope to resonate emotionally with their listeners in a way they haven’t tried before.
