Directed by George Abbott and Stanley Donen, Damn Yankees adapts the Broadway musical about a frustrated baseball fan who makes a pact with the Devil to help his team defeat the New York Yankees. Starring Tab Hunter and Gwen Verdon, the film blends musical numbers with fantasy elements set within the world of professional baseball. The production preserves much of the original stage choreography and songs that made the show a theatrical success.
