Directed by Jeff Gillen and Alan Ormsby, Deranged stars Roberts Blossom as Ezra Cobb, a disturbed rural killer whose obsession with his dead mother leads to grave robbing and murder. Inspired by the real-life crimes of Ed Gein, the film mixes psychological horror, rural isolation and grim true-crime material. Cosette Lee, Leslie Carlson and Micki Moore co-star in this unsettling 1970s horror film from the same real-case tradition that also influenced several later genre classics.
