Desperation (2006)

Desperation, based on Stephen Kings novel, follows a group of travelers who are detained by a disturbed small-town sheriff and drawn into a supernatural conflict tied to an ancient force beneath the Nevada desert. The miniseries blends horror with character-driven tension, using the isolated setting to explore fear, survival, and the influence of malevolent power. Its contained structure and escalating atmosphere present a focused adaptation of Kings desert-set supernatural thriller.
