Directed by John Newland and starring Kim Darby, Dont Be Afraid of the Dark (1973) is a supernatural horror film centered on a woman who begins to experience terrifying events inside an old mansion after uncovering hidden creatures living within the house. Originally produced as a television film, it became known for its psychological tension, gothic atmosphere and haunted house horror elements. The film later gained cult status among fans of 1970s television horror.
