Vidrig Vår, the new album from Dungen, is an open and intimate exploration of the end of a long-term relationship.

"De flesta säger det tar minst ett år, jag hörde någon som vänta tre
Det bara pågår i mig dag efter dag, allt jag gör blir fel"

"Most say it takes at least a year, I heard of someone who waited three
It just keeps going in me day after day, all I do goes wrong"

This year marks 25 years since the release of the band's self-titled debut, and four years since their previous album En är för mycket och tusen aldrig nog. Despite lyrics in Swedish, their hybrid of psych, folk and pop has won them a substantial international audience, stars like Jack White, Tame Impala and Fleet Foxes among them.

Dungen consists of Gustav Ejstes, Reine Fiske (guitar), Mattias Gustavsson (bass) and Johan Holmegård (drums). Vidrig Vår is produced by frontman Ejstes and go-to producer Mattias Glavå. The band embarks on a Scandinavian tour this fall, kicking off in Bergen on October 22nd.
