Directed by Jon Favreau, Elf stars Will Ferrell as Buddy, a human raised by Santas elves who leaves the North Pole to find his biological father in New York City. James Caan plays Buddys reluctant father, while Zooey Deschanel co-stars as a department-store employee drawn into his attempt to bring Christmas spirit to the city. The film combines family comedy, fish-out-of-water humour and Christmas fantasy as Buddy tries to reconnect with his family and find his place in the human world.
