Based on Natsuki Takayas manga, Fruits Basket follows Tohru Honda, an orphaned high-school student who becomes involved with the mysterious Sohma family and discovers that several of its members transform into animals of the Chinese zodiac when embraced by someone of the opposite sex. As Tohru grows closer to Yuki, Kyo and the other Sohmas, she uncovers the emotional scars and family secrets hidden behind their supernatural curse. The complete 63-episode adaptation combines romance, supernatural fantasy and character-driven drama while following Tohru and the Sohmas toward the truth behind the Zodiac bond.
