Directed by Harold Ramis, Groundhog Day stars Bill Murray as cynical television weatherman Phil Connors, who becomes trapped reliving the same day over and over while covering Groundhog Day in the small town of Punxsutawney. Andie MacDowell co-stars as producer Rita as Phil gradually changes how he approaches both the repeating day and the people around him. The film combines romantic comedy with a time-loop fantasy premise.
