In Michael Hanekes Happy End, starring Isabelle Huppert and Jean-Louis Trintignant, a wealthy family in Calais drifts toward quiet emotional collapse as buried guilt, generational conflict, and moral rot surface beneath a façade of privilege. Through cold observation and fractured perspectives, the film dissects modern alienation, responsibility, and indifference. A bleak and unsettling psychological family drama about the quiet violence of everyday life.
