Directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak, Infernal Affairs III (2003) is a Hong Kong crime thriller that expands the psychological and undercover elements of the trilogy. Starring Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Andy Lau, the film follows the continuing fallout from police infiltration, divided loyalties and identity collapse inside Hong Kongs criminal and law-enforcement worlds. The film places greater emphasis on paranoia, fractured perception and internal conflict than the earlier entries.
