Directed by Neil Jordan and based on the novel by Anne Rice, Interview with the Vampire (1994) is a gothic horror drama starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst. The film follows vampire Louis recounting centuries of immortality, violence and emotional torment through his relationship with the charismatic Lestat. Combining gothic atmosphere, tragic character drama and supernatural horror, the film became one of the defining vampire films of the 1990s.
