It: Chapter One (2017)
Directed by Andy Muschietti, It: Chapter One adapts the first half of Stephen Kings novel, following the Losers Club as they confront a shapeshifting entity that preys on the fears of children in Derry, Maine. The film blends coming-of-age drama with supernatural horror, emphasizing friendship, trauma, and the collision between childhood vulnerability and ancient menace. Its character-driven approach and atmospheric set pieces helped redefine contemporary King adaptations.

It: Chapter Two (2019)
It: Chapter Two, also directed by Andy Muschietti, returns to Derry 27 years later as the now-adult Losers Club reunites to confront Pennywise once more. The film interweaves past and present, exploring memory, unresolved fear, and the lasting psychological imprint of childhood terror. Its blend of cosmic-scale mythology and personal reckoning closes the two-part narrative with a focus on identity, resilience, and collective confrontation.
