Kick-Ass (2010)
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, Kick-Ass follows an ordinary teenager who decides to become a real-life superhero, setting off a chain of violent and unpredictable events that pull him into the orbit of seasoned vigilantes and a rising criminal empire. The film blends comic-book stylization with grounded brutality, satirizing superhero tropes while exploring identity, courage, and the consequences of vigilante fantasy. Its kinetic action and sharp tonal contrast helped redefine the modern R-rated comic adaptation.

Kick-Ass 2 (2013)
Directed by Jeff Wadlow, continues the story as new masked heroes emerge and a vengeful villain orchestrates a campaign of chaos against them. The film blends coming-of-age drama with heightened action and darker thematic territory, focusing on personal responsibility, retaliation, and the shifting line between heroism and obsession. Its escalation of the originals world expands the series mix of satire, brutality, and stylized comic-book energy.
