Directed by Lo Wei, Magnificent Bodyguards stars Jackie Chan as Ting Chung, a martial arts expert hired to escort a supposedly sick man through the dangerous Stormy Hills. As bandits, rival warriors and hidden agendas emerge along the journey, the mission becomes a deadly struggle for survival and revenge. Combining martial arts action, adventure and classic wuxia storytelling, the film was one of Jackie Chans final collaborations with Lo Wei before his international breakthrough.
