Directed by Bertrand Blier and starring Charlotte Gainsbourg and Anouk Grinberg, Merci la vie follows two young women whose lives become intertwined through a series of surreal, erotic and unpredictable encounters across contemporary France. Combining dark comedy, drama and dreamlike storytelling, the film moves between memory, fantasy and social satire while exploring sexuality, illness, manipulation and emotional instability. The film reflects Bliers characteristic blend of provocative humor, fragmented narrative structure and surreal French cinema.
