Japanese sci-fi anime sequel directed by Mitsuo Fukuda which follows the adventures of humans living in rival colonies in outer space. In year 75 of the Cosmic Era, war continues to rage. Remnants of Blue Cosmos continue to attack other nations and so COMPASS, a global peacekeeping agency, is established, with Lacus Clyne (voice of Rie Tanaka) at its head. Kira (Soichiro Hoshi) and his comrades are members of COMPASS and assist in the fight against Blue Cosmos forces but when a new nation called Foundation joins the fray, seeking to work with COMPASS, it quickly becomes apparent that their ultimate goal is anything but peaceful.
