Directed by Clint Eastwood, Mystic River (2003) stars Sean Penn, Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon in a crime drama based on the novel by Dennis Lehane. The film follows three childhood friends whose lives are reunited after the murder of one mans daughter in their Boston neighborhood. Sean Penn won the Academy Award for Best Actor and Tim Robbins won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
