Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprats Official Competition, starring Penélope Cruz and Antonio Banderas, is a sharp Spanish satire about vanity and artistic ego in the world of filmmaking. A billionaire finances an important movie, only to watch a neurotic director and two clashing actors tear the production apart with rivalry, method-acting chaos, and absurd creative exercises. The film blends dark comedy, industry satire, and psychological mind games in a confined rehearsal setting.
