Written and directed by Helen Walsh, On the Sea stars Barry Ward as Jack, a mussel fisherman in a remote North Wales community whose marriage, family and sense of identity are challenged by the arrival of itinerant deckhand Daniel, played by Lorne MacFadyen. As Jacks son resists joining the family trade and Daniel makes his feelings for Jack clear, long-suppressed desires collide with family expectations and the traditions of the close-knit fishing community. Liz White and Henry Lawfull also star.
