Mario Bava directs this sci-fi horror starring Barry Sullivan, Norma Bengell and Franco Andrei. Deep in the uncharted territory of outer space, the spaceship Galliott receives a distress signal coming from an unexplored planet. After the crew land there they begin experiencing terrifying delusions and hallucinations that induce a violent frenzy. Captain Markary (Sullivan) is able to maintain his sanity, however, and after managing to de-escalate the chaos aboard Galliott, he must disembark and lead his crew to find out who - or what - was behind the distress signal...
