Capcom has provided new details on the gameplay of Street Fighter 6 after the very first presentation a few months ago. The game returned to being seen with a new trailer at the State of Play on June 2, where it appeared in great shape, complete with a new logo after the controversy that erupted at the original reveal. On the sidelines, the pool of platforms on which it will land (and when) was also revealed, with the farewell to the exclusive PlayStation console that had characterized the past generation.

Street Fighter 6 will therefore not be the exclusive preserve of PS4 and PS5 users, as well as PC, as one could initially imagine. Capcom has confirmed that the fighting game will also be available on Xbox Series X | S, although Microsoft users will not have the opportunity to play an old-gen Xbox One version, unlike Sony. The launch is set for now at a generic 2023, so it is assumed that the transition to the new platforms will be at least accelerated by then. Taking advantage of the generational transition, SF6 will run on Resident Evil 4's RE Engine and have a more photorealistic look, as exhibited by the models glimpsed in the clip of Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke and new entry Jamie, with his "drunken boxing , incorporating breakdance and even a drink capable of unleashing one's devastating ki."
