Directed by Rob Reiner, Stand By Me is a coming-of-age drama about four boys who set out on a journey to find the body of a missing child. As the trip unfolds, the story becomes a quiet exploration of friendship, fear, loss, and the transition from childhood to adulthood. Set in a small American town in the late 1950s, the film blends youthful adventure with reflective nostalgia. It is widely regarded as one of the most emotionally grounded adaptations of Stephen Kings work.
